Mark DeLong

Chief Business & Strategy Officer

Mark joined Apellis in Feb 2018 and is currently our chief business & strategy officer responsible for corporate & portfolio strategy, business development, alliance management, search & evaluation, and project management.  Prior to joining Apellis, Mark worked at EMD Serono in Boston, MA from 2007 until Jan 2018 with various leadership roles in business development, portfolio management and commercial operations, where he was instrumental in multiple strategic partnerships and divestments.  Prior to joining EMD Serono, Mark held various R&D positions at Alkermes. Mark holds a BSc in chemical engineering from Penn State and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
